Dan aku tidak akan pernah menjadi penyembah apa yang kamu sembah. Dan kamu tidak pernah (pula) menjadi penyembah Tuhan yang aku sembah. Bagimu agamamu dan bagiku agamaku” (QS Al-Kaafiruun : 1-6).

Mengucapkan Selamat Natal atau yang lainnya dari agama luar Islam berarti menyetujui atau mempercayai keyakinan mereka. Seorang muslim bisa terkecoh dengan bujuk rayu golongan yang berdalih atas nama toleransi beragama, padahal perayaan itu termasuk musyrik yang dosanya tidak terampuni. itu pada dirinya sendiri. Kendati demikian, seorang muslim diharamkan untuk rela terhadap simbol-simbol kekufuran atau mengucapkan selamat terhadap simbol-simbol tersebut atau lainnya karena Allah SWT tidak meridhainya sebagaimana firmannya pada QS.Az-Zumar : 7.
