Dan aku tidak akan pernah menjadi penyembah apa yang kamu sembah. Dan kamu tidak pernah (pula) menjadi penyembah Tuhan yang aku sembah. Bagimu agamamu dan bagiku agamaku” (QS Al-Kaafiruun : 1-6).

Mengucapkan Selamat Natal atau yang lainnya dari agama luar Islam berarti menyetujui atau mempercayai keyakinan mereka. Seorang muslim bisa terkecoh dengan bujuk rayu golongan yang berdalih atas nama toleransi beragama, padahal perayaan itu termasuk musyrik yang dosanya tidak terampuni. Dengan demikian mengucapkan Selamat Natal hukumnya haram dan termasuk dosa besar.

Majelis Ulama Indonesia dengan tegas mengharamkan ucapan Selamat Natal. Begitu pula Ulama-ulama Islam di seluruh dunia.

Haramnya mengucapkan selamat kepada kaum kuffar sehubungan dengan hari raya agama mereka, sebagaimana dipaparkan oleh Ibnu Qayyim, karena dalam hal ini terkandung pengakuan terhadap simbol-simbol kekufuran dan rela terhadap hal itu pada mereka walaupun tidak rela ha

itu pada dirinya sendiri. Kendati demikian, seorang muslim diharamkan untuk rela terhadap simbol-simbol kekufuran atau mengucapkan selamat terhadap simbol-simbol tersebut atau lainnya karena Allah SWT tidak meridhainya sebagaimana firmannya pada QS.Az-Zumar : 7.

• Materi tulisan berformat feature, in-depth reporting, atau opini dan bukan berformat laporan ilmiah (untuk umum)
• Materi tulisan yang dikirim harus : Dalam format file MS Word (Soft copy); Disertai bukti pemuatan berupa kliping asli bukan fotocopy (untuk media cetak) atau link website/blog melalui email (untuk media online/blog)
• Materi tulisan belum pernah dan tidak sedang diikutsertakan dalam lomba sejenis yang diselenggarakan XL maupun pihak lain.
